We are proud to be Official Holiday Partner to Vallnord Bike Park: definitely the most famous of the two bike parks in Andorra, and a must-ride destination for riders from right around the planet. Vallnord regularly hosts MTB World Cups, and the annual Maxiavalanche race is sister event to the infamous Megavalanche. The park is more than capable of rivalling any other in Europe – it sprawls across the mountain with a huge variety of runs, with everything from the two different World Cup courses, super-fun north shore “Woodparks”, tabletop infested red trails, plus enormously long super-flowy blue and green trails all the way from the highest point on the top of the mountain to the bottom of the valley. From the top of the park the trails drops a huge distance, and over 1000m vertically, to the busy town of La Massana below! Our friend and sponsor Cedric Gracia has been integral in designing the trails at Vallnord – it is an absolutely World-class destination.
We are also very fortunate to be supported by Grandvalira Bike Park Soldeu – in fact they were one of our first partners when we launched in 2010. Ex-World Cup DH pro Oscar Saiz designed Soldeu with fun in mind: he created a network of fast, flowing trails that use every last inch of elevation available. The trails are long, full of sinuous curves, berms, tables, drops and multiple line options. It’s a great place to develop your skills, with superb progression across the park: there are amazing intermediate trails, furious reds, super steep blacks, and even jump line trails with road gaps and huge features. Every last one will put a huge grin on your face! We’d dare to say that some of the most fun you can have on a bike in Andorra is hidden away at Soldeu – compared to the number of riders at Vallnord the trails always seem criminally quiet – but it is not for a lack of quality…in fact almost every rider we have every brought here adores it.
New for 2017 we are introducing a Twin Park Holiday in Andorra which lets you ride both resorts during your stay. Crazily, there is no transport or links between the two parks for the general public – despite the fact that they are only 20 minutes apart! Rather than making you move hotels this trip bases you at La Massana, so Vallnord is on the doorstep, and we arrange transport across to Soldeu for you as part of the package price. It’s really easy and fast – no hassle whatsoever! If you want to ride both parks during your stay this is the only way of doing it!
