Getting to Us

As you will by now have realised, we are in several different locations throughout the course of a year – and each location has its own dedicated pick-up and drop-off point. In order to make understanding where and how you meet us as simple as possible we have created a quick guide to the collection points for each of our holidays below.

We have selected all of these locations very carefully based on several considerations:

  • Ease of access by various methods of travel (road/rail/flights)
  • Distance and travel time to accommodation locations
  • Distance you will have to travel to get there – particularly in the UK
  • Easy meeting points

We meet you at Birmingham International Airport Station which can be reached by rail travel relatively easily and quickly from anywhere within England Book Train Tickets. If you have some time to wait we can look after your luggage and bikes whilst you catch a quick train ride into the city centre and explore.

Being an airport location there is also plenty of parking if you prefer to drive to the pick-up location – a week’s parking costs from as little as £25. Book Parking Here.  Transfers to and from Dolgellau take around 2 hours – not due to distance, but due to the lack of main roads! If you prefer, you can also drive direct to Dolgellau and meet us - there is plenty of free parking in the town, including limited off-road private parking at our cottages.

Scottish Stanes

We meet our guests at Newcastle Airport – which has its own Metro train station from the city – making it possible to reach from as far away as London in less than 4 hours. Book Train Tickets Here. Newcastle Airport offers flights from around the UK as well as overseas, making arrival from further away very easy. Book Flights Here.

We will be at the collection point from 1000 until 1600 – please ensure that your travel arrangements work around these times – contact us for further information. If you have some time to wait we can look after your luggage and bikes whilst you take the Metro and explore this surprising city. If you have arrived by air we can build your bike for you whilst you explore.

If you would prefer to drive there is airport car parking available Book Parking Here for as little as £30. The transfer time from Newcastle to Dumfries takes about an hour and three quarters, whilst the return trip from Peebles takes two hours. Alternatively you can drive and meet us in Dumfries – but you will need to relocate your vehicle to Peebles midweek – our hotels in each town have free private car parking.

Wild Scotland

The north of Scotland is a long way from most of the UK – so we come right down to Edinburgh to meet you – and we are happy to collect you from either the Airport or the main station - Edinburgh Waverley . Journey times to Edinburgh by train are around 4.5 hours from London. Book Train Tickets Here. The airport benefits from flight from all over the world and many destinations within the UK itself! It can actually be very cheap to fly to Edinburgh – flights from as far away as Exeter can be had for as little as £30 each way! Book Flights Here.

We will be at the pick-up point between 1000 and 1600 – please ensure any travel arrangements take this into account – please contact us for more details. If you have some time to wait we can look after your luggage and bikes whilst you explore one of the most beautiful cities in the world. If you have arrived by air travel we may even be able to begin building your bike whilst you enjoy the day.

Parking is also available at Edinburgh Airport if you would rather drive – a week’s parking Book Parking Here is very cheap and only costs from around £20! Aviemore is a long way North, so the transfer time is two hours and fifteen minutes each way – we’ll keep you entertained with some good MTB movies on the way! Alternatively, if you enjoy driving you can meet us in Aviemore – our hotel has extensive free private car parking.

Spanish Trail Tapas

Travelling from Cabra towards Granada with the Sierra Nevada in the distancePart of the beauty of our Spanish Holiday is the ease and cost-effectiveness of getting to our pick-up point at Malaga Airport ! Malaga is the busiest non-UK airport for British travellers in the World – because you can get a cheap flight to Malaga from almost anywhere within the UK! If you are willing to travel to certain airports there are some amazingly cheap flights to be had – typically you can expect to pay about £100 return if you book early via airports like Luton. We have seen flights from as little as £50 return! Book Flights Here

We will be at the airport from 1030 until about 1900 to allow for inbound flights – evening meals are later in Spain, most places don’t serve dinner before about 8.30pm, so you won’t miss out! Whilst we are at the airport you can quickly head into the city itself and explore, or head for a beach bar until we are ready to leave. We’ll look after your luggage and we can even begin building you bike for you whilst you relax in the sun! Please bear in mind check-in times for your flight home –please contact us for further information.

The transfer time inland from Malaga to our first hotel is very short – around an hour and fifteen minutes. The return journey to Malaga is from further away, so takes at least twice as long – but trust us, the incredible riding is more than worth it – and it’s enough time to watch a good movie in the van!

If you want to drive down to Spain for an adventure you are more than welcome – but be warned, it’s not cheap or quick! You can drive down through France and Spain to reach us (which takes at least 2 days each way) or you can take a ferry from Plymouth or Portsmouth to Santander or Bilbao in northern Spain. The ferry crossing takes about 24 hours (the ferries are actually quite good fun!) – and then you can expect to drive for around another 12 hours to reach us in Andalucía. You’ll have to reposition your car to our second hotel midweek – but compared to the journey to drive down its a very short trip!

Driving down is a costly experience, and really only economical for a large group – and the price of flights is so low that you really are generally going to find that catching a plane is a very cost-effective option. If you are interested in driving please contact us.

Ultimate Alps

Flying to Geneva Airport is very easy – it’s a short flight from the UK – about an hour and a forty  minutes from Heathrow – and even flights with BA (which at the time or writing include your bike too!) are easily available for about £120. So it’s cheap too! Book Flights Here.

We will be at the airport from 1030 until about 1700 to allow for inbound flights – it’s not a long journey to Chamonix, so you won’t miss dinner! From the airport you can quickly get into nearby Geneva itself and load up on Swiss chocolate whilst you wait. We’ll look after your luggage and we can begin building you bike for you whilst you explore the city. Please consider check-in times when booking your flight home – contact us for information.

Our transfer from Geneva Airport to Chamonix takes about an hour – but we return to Geneva from further south in the Alps at the end of the week, so expect the return transfer to take about twice as long.

Driving to meet us in the Alps is surprisingly easy, and for groups very cost-effective. You can easily get a ferry from Dover in the morning and be sitting in a bar in Chamonix town centre by early evening – it’s about an 8 hour drive from Calais using the toll roads. At the time of writing you can expect to pay about £100 each way in a family car once you arrive in France.

We are happy to send you full directions on how to get to and from the Alps – please contact us for full information. Please be aware that you will need to relocate your vehicle midweek to Bourg D’Oisans – the journey back to Calais at the end of your holiday is therefore around an hour longer.

Andorra Altitude

Andorra does not have an international airport – it is a completely mountainous area, so the closest sizeable destination is Barcelona Airport , over the border in Spain. There are flights to Barcelona from nearly all UK airports – it’s a major airport – and you can expect to pay as little as £100 by booking in advance. Book Flights Here. It’s about a two hour flight from the south of the UK – so it’s quite a short trip.

We will arrive at the airport at 1030 in the morning and we’ll leave at about 1700 to allow for inbound flights. Barcelona airport is a very short bus ride from the world famous city itself – so if you have some time to wait you can have a day out exploring – it really is an incredible place! We’ll look after your bags and we can also begin building you bike whilst you relax in a tapas bar and watch the world go by. Please make sure you plan around check-in times when booking your flights – please contact us for more details.

Unfortunately the short flight is counterbalanced by the rather long drive to get inland to Andorra from the airport – the roads into the Pyrenees get progressively smaller the closer you get to the mountains! Therefore the transfer is quite lengthy at about three hours each way. Don’t worry – the views are stunning, but if you don’t want to look out of the window we can keep you entertained with some movies on our in-vehicle entertainment system!

Driving to Andorra from the UK is not quite as easy as driving to the Alps – although it is just about possible to do it in a day from the French ferry ports. We’d recommend sharing the driving – it’s a very long way indeed – expect to drive for at least 12 hours. At the time of writing this journey will cost about £110 each way in a family car – so it’s actually quite cheap when divided between a group! Once in Andorra you probably won’t need your car again until you head home at the end of the week. We’ll give you full directions on getting to Andorra when you contact us for more information.

Wild West

We start our Westcountry adventure from the northern tip of the region by collecting you from Bristol Temple Meads Station. This is a major rail terminal and is easy to reach from all over the UK. Book Train Tickets Here. It is also possible for us to arrange to collect you from Bristol Airport – for international guests or if you live in a distant part of the UK, this is a very well-served international airport. Book Flights Here. Once we hit the road it is a short transfer down to Devon from Bristol – it’s about an hour and a quarter from the centre of Bristol down to Tiverton.

We will be at the collection point in Bristol from 1000 until 1600 – please make sure your travel arrangements work with these times – contact us for more information. If you have some time to wait we can look after your luggage and bikes whilst you head into the modern and cosmopolitan city centre which is very nearby.

If you want to drive to the start of the holiday that can be done very easily – your hotel for the week has extensive private parking – and you probably won’t need to use your car again for the remainder of your holiday. We wouldn’t recommend trying to park at Bristol Temple Meads – the parking is limited and expensive – and getting into the city from the Motorway will take almost as long as reaching Tiverton!

South Wales Trailmaster

Similarly to our Wild West holiday, we begin our South Welsh holiday from Bristol Temple Meads Station. As a major rail terminal trains run to Bristol from all over the UK. Book Train Tickets Here. We can collect you from Bristol Airport also if you arrange it beforehand – if you live some distance away, or overseas, there are flights from most locations. Book Flights Here. The transfer from Bristol to your hotel takes about an hour and three quarters and takes us across the world famous Severn Bridge.

We will be at in Bristol from 1000 until 1600 –please make your travel arrangements around these times – contact us for information. If you have some time to wait we’ll look after your luggage and bikes while you explore the exciting city centre nearby.

If you prefer to drive to meet us in Wales your hotel has plenty of parking – and you probably won’t need to drive again until you are ready to head home.
