Why We Are So Unique
Traditional mountain biking holidays offer a centre-based package. We have been on many of those types of holidays, and they all suffer from the same restriction: it’s very hard to create a week’s riding which is universally of an outstanding quality. Most holidays provide you with one or two outstanding rides, but the remainder simply aren’t as memorable. We have spent the last two decades riding in locations all over Europe, and have a huge amount of trail knowledge to share with you. By offering a “highlights-style” holiday we can offer an incredible trail for you to experience every day, as it means we are not restricted by a geographical location.
What do you mean by “highlights-style” holidays?
Normally a roadtrip involves moving every day or so to a new location, so you have to go through the difficulty of moving all of your gear all of the time. This doesn’t really help make for a relaxing holiday, as you are always against the clock. Instead we have come up with itineraries that allow us to work from a “base” location which is central to the best riding in each area where we offer holidays. From this central starting point we travel out each day to the most truly incredible riding experiences available in the region. One or two of or holidays are “twin centre” based, which allows a change of accommodation mid week, and we deal with this carefully to make the week flow as smoothly as the singletrack!
Fantastic Transport and Support Equipment
The nature of our holidays means that you spend some time being transported to and from the trails, which could prove frustrating – so we have invested very heavily in ensuring that we have the best quality vehicle offered by any mountain bike holiday company, anywhere in the world. Our vehicle is a great place to spend time – and journeys pass quickly, comfortably and there’s plenty of onboard entertainment too – we’ve turned transport from a chore into something that’s fun and that you’ll look forward to climbing aboard every day. Of course, whilst you travel in luxury it seems only right that your bike gets equally privileged treatment! We have had a custom-designed trailer created from the ground up specifically to ensure that both you and your bike have the best facilities available to you wherever you are. The trailer is fully enclosed, secure and boasts everything from bike washing facilities to a fully equipped all-weather workshop, available for use wherever we go. Coupled with our Cytec qualified mechanic there is little which we can’t repair in order to keep your bike moving reliably. The other totally unique feature of Singletrack Safari is the way that we operate – whilst we offer several choices of countries to visit, wherever you go you will be greeted by the same helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable team. How do we make this possible? We physically move our entire guiding team, vehicles and equipment from country to country at different times of the year! We aim to provide you with an unparalleled level of knowledgeable, customer-focussed service wherever you choose to go with us. We’ve listened to our clients who find that guiding and hosting can vary in quality hugely between holiday companies in different countries. By moving our entire outfit around Europe you will be greeted by the same friendly and familiar faces at every location, offering you the best experience possible every single time.
We follow the seasons, allowing us to be in the best locations for riding wherever we go – it’s surprising how much it rains (and snows!) at certain times of the year in Spain, and did you know that the driest time of the year in parts of Northern Scotland is actually during the Spring?
More Than Just a Trail Guiding Company
It’s often forgotten by MTB companies that the very best holidays are more than the sum of their trails. That’s why we have spent an entire year revisiting all of our locations and exploring the après-bike entertainment carefully, so that we can take you to the very best tourist attractions, bars and restaurants– and even suggest some the best dishes on the menu at each of them!
We never recommend anywhere we haven’t tried ourselves – and keep our ears close to the ground for the best in local live music and events too. We’ve spent a lot of time establishing contacts with the local communities and we really believe that we are able to take you beyond the normal tourist trail and help you really experience each of our destinations.
We speak the key languages for our locations effectively (Spanish and French so far, but our Welsh is a bit rusty), so we can ensure that you never need to miss out due to the language gap!
