We are proud to be Official Holiday Partner to Vallnord Bike Park: now one of the most famous and respected bike parks in the World, and a must-ride destination for riders from right around the planet. Vallnord annually hosts MTB World Cups, and the annual Maxiavalanche race is sister event to the infamous Megavalanche. The park is more than capable of rivalling any other in Europe – it sprawls across the mountain with a huge variety of runs, with everything from the two different World Cup courses, super-fun north shore “Woodparks”, tabletop infested red trails, plus enormously long super-flowy blue and green trails all the way from the highest point on the top of the mountain to the bottom of the valley. From the top of the park the trails drops a huge distance, and over 1000m vertically, to the busy town of La Massana below! Our friend and sponsor Cedric Gracia has been integral in designing the trails at Vallnord – it is an absolutely World-class destination.
We are saddedned to learn that Andorra’s “other” bike park Grandvalira Bike Park Soldeu – one of our first partners when we launched in 2010 – will not be reopening in 2020. Despite this it *is* still possible to ride some of these trails with Singletrack Safari, as our guided Enduro guests have special permission to use the lifts at Soldeu when accompanied by one of our guides! The original network of fast, flowing trails are now returning somewhat to nature – so are better rideen on an enduro bike now anyway…but they are still fun and the lifts also access several of our epic enduro descents, such as the epic 12km/1300m vertical “Jordi’s Way”…
Compared with the number of riders at Vallnord the trails at Soldeu always were criminally quiet -not for a lack of quality – but local politics have closed the park down. However, as we mention, why not book onto our guided, uplifted enduro trip and you will still get a glimpse of the old bike park, from a different perspective? Plus a tonne of other uplifted-assisted big-mountain singletrack too, fo course! Check out our Enduro Guided holiday page for more details!
